Man charged following drug warrants

We know that drug dealing and associated anti-social behaviour are issues that matter to our communities, and tackling them remains a priority.

Earlier this week, officers executed a series of warrants across Norwich and Blofield.

The warrants were carried out on Tuesday morning (18 August) at properties on Philadelphia Lane, Shorncliffe Avenue, Lynes Close and Bates Green.

Two men in their 20s, a man in his late teens and a woman in her 20s were arrested across the locations and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Searches conducted during the warrants resulted in the recovery of drugs, cash and a stolen motorcycle.

A 20-year-old man was subsequently charged with possession of a Class A controlled drug (cocaine) and possession of a Class B controlled drug (cannabis). He has since appeared in court, where he pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a fine.

The three other people arrested have been released on bail while enquiries continue.
